The Dodd family kicked off 2024 with a fantastic trip to Punta Cana—a wonderful getaway with their entire family. The weather was perfect, and there’s truly nothing more special than seeing the three cousins spending quality time together.

Cathy and Antony continued their travels with a trip to Bruges, Ghent, and Brussels in Belgium, as well as Brittany in France. They explored Europe alongside Antony’s siblings from Canada while also visiting family members who live abroad. Another trip for the books! Over the summer, they returned to their old stomping grounds in Quebec, where they embarked on a “foodie” adventure in Montreal, indulging in new restaurants and dishes. Their Quebec visit didn’t end there—they spent time with lifelong friends on the lake where they have spent every summer previously. The trip was truly nostalgic. As a proud Guelphite, Cathy actively participated in the many local events that make Guelph such a special place. This year, she enjoyed Art on the Street, the Studio Tour, the Potters Market, and the Garden Tour, all of which were fantastic. Cathy’s daughter, Jessie, continues to explore the world as a flight attendant, often bringing her husband, Rob, and their daughter, Henley, along as “stowaways” whenever possible. Henley officially became a teenager, celebrating her 13th birthday last May. Cathy’s youngest son, Adam, moved in with his girlfriend, Emma, whom the family adores. With Emma came a new furry family member, her Goldendoodle, Lole. Cathy and Antony also welcomed another addition to the family—their playful and cuddly cat, Norm.

In the spring, Jeff took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge for a fun-filled adventure. They had a blast at the water park and loved all the activities, and they’ve been asking to go back ever since! This year, Jeff really lived by the mantra, “work hard, play hard.” He had three major golf trips, each one unforgtable. First up was Vegas, where he played on once-in-a-lifetime courses with views that stretched for miles. Next, he  headed to PEI, where he hit his first-ever hole-in-one, a major milestone, and hopefully not his last! Finally, he celebrated a great friend’s wedding with a golf trip to Newfoundland at another incredible course, tucked away in the middle of nowhere with truly stunning views. Each destination was unique but equally amazing, and Jeff can’t wait to hit the links again this spring! On a personal note, Jeff reached a huge milestone this year—50 blood donations! It’s been a rewarding journey for him and something he is very proud of. If you haven’t already, we definitely encourage everyone to consider adding it to their routine. As usual, his summer was filled with time spent in Southampton at the trailer. It’s always a peaceful, relaxing escape where the kids thrive in their slow-paced beach bum lifestyle. This year, they had an added bonus—Jeff ’s mother-in-law moved to Guelph, which has been an amazing change. It’s so wonderful having her closer and involved in day-to-day life! They ended the year on a high note with his sister Jessie and her family joining us for Christmas—for the first time in decades! To say it was one for the books is an understatement. It truly made the holidays extra special.

Our third member of The Dodd Team, Kevin, had an action-packed 2024, fully embracing the “work hard, travel often” philosophy that all of The Dodd Team live by. He kicked off the year with a sun-soaked getaway to Aruba alongside his entire family, where they enjoyed breathtaking blue waters, fresh tropical fruit, and ultimate relaxation. Kevin described the trip using every synonym for “extraordinary” he could think of! In July, he checked a major item off his bucket list by attending the legendary Calgary Stampede. From thrilling rodeo events and mouthwatering festival food to incredible country music performances, the experience exceeded all expectations. Kevin also made time for other exciting adventures throughout the year, balancing his passion for real estate with his love for travel and new experiences. It’s safe to say that 2024 was a year to remember for Kevin, and knowing him, 2025 will be just as exciting!

All of us have so much to be grateful for over the last year! We have a deep appreciation for this town and the in-credible people who make it special. There is so much to be thankful for, and we hope the year ahead brings health, happiness, and quality time with loved ones. As always, we’re here for you if you ever need anything.
