Fortunately, Guelph is home to many fantastic golf courses! If you don’t have a membership anywhere, no need to worry, as there’s lots of public courses to play all within the city limits or a short 15-minute drive of Guelph. Some of these courses include; Springfield Golf and Country Club, Victoria Park East Golf Club, Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club, and Victoria Park Valley Golf Club. 


Speed River Paddling

Located right beneath The Boathouse Restaurant, Speed River Paddling offers Canoe and Kayak rentals at affordable rates. The next time you are feeling a bit adventurous, we definitely encourage you to partake in this unique outdoor experience! Plus, after returning the rental, you have the opportunity to indulge in The Boathouse’s delicious ice cream…. 


Explore the Guelph Farmers Market 

Although open year-round, there’s nothing quite like exploring the Farmers Market on a gorgeous summer day. Plus, in the summer there is tons of locally grown produce available, due to the fact that more is in season here. Time to grab your tote bags and support the community! 


Taste Detours Curated Picnic

Want to go on a lovely picnic while supporting local? Every Thursday evening in July, Taste Detours offers their curated picnics for pickup at the Guelph Farmers Market from 4-7pm, just be sure to book 48 hours in advance! The basket includes; Foods from a variety of Guelph and area restaurateurs, bakers, cheesemongers, olive oil & balsamic purveyors, and more! 


Mustang Drive-In

Looking for a unique date night or family outing? The Mustang Drive-In is the perfect spot! Head out on a warm summer night and enjoy watching blockbuster movies under the stars. Plus, if you start getting hungry throughout, they have a snack bar with hot food, popcorn, ice cream, and candy! 


Visit the Donkey Sanctuary

Who doesn’t want to support a great cause whilst experiencing cuteness overload!? The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC) rescues and rehabilitates donkeys, mules, and hinnies who have been neglected, abused or are simply in need of sanctuary. Until the end of October, DSC hosts open days to the public every Sunday. You can book your spot on Eventbrite
